The SideStream nebuliser chamber offer faster drug delivery and shorter treatment times and can be used with all commonly prescribed respiratory medications.
The unique Venturi system enhances output by ensuring that 80% of the drug volume is less than 5 microns in size. The SideStream chamber has five aerosol producing jet holes instead of one, providing additional flow and speeding up treatment times. SideStream nebulisers can deliver 2.5ml of most medications within 7 minutes.
Unlike the durable SideStream, the disposable chamber cannot be boiled to sterilise but must be rinsed with clean water after each use.
The Philips Face Mask is manufactured from medical grade, latex free plastic and comfortably fits over your nose and mouth. The mouthpiece is also latex free.
The disposable SideStream Kit can be used for up to one month, so is ideal for anyone using a nebuliser in an assisted living facility.
Philips nebulisers do not require an annual service.

The Disposable SideSteam nebuliser kit which includes a disposable SideStream chamber, air tube and a mask/mouthpiece should be replaced after 30 days use. Or if you prefer you can use the Philips Durable Sidestream Year Pack which should last for 12 months.
The Air Inlet Filters will need to be changed every three months.
Why replace the filter?
Replacing the filter on your Philips nebuliser is probably most important aspect of nebuliser maintenance. It is as important as replacing your nebuliser set, since without a good flow of filtered air coming from the compressor, you will not receive an effective therapy.
Old filters block the air flow to the compressor, reducing its output which diminishes its effectiveness.
Blocked filters also put a strain on the motor and increases the risk of a breakdown.
Filters cannot be cleaned – Throw the old filter away – don't wash it!
Your InnoSpire nebuliser inlet filter should be changed every three months or when discolouration occurs in order to keep your nebuliser performing consistently.
