The Durable SideStream Chamber offers faster drug delivery and shorter treatment times. It can be used with all commonly prescribed respiratory medications. The SideStream's unique Venturi system enhances output by ensuring that 80% of the drug output volume is below 5 microns in size. It has five aerosol producing jet holes instead of one, providing additional flow and speeding up treatment times, delivering a 2.5ml dose in less than 7 minutes.
The Durable SideStream Chamber is reusable and can be sterilised by boiling and may be used for up to twelve months before replacing.
The robust Duratube Air Tube connects your compressor to the Durable SideStream medication chamber. The high quality durable rubber connectors are easy to pop on and pop off and can withstand many applications. The Duratube should not be immersed in water.
You have the choice of an Adult Facemask, child facemask or a Durable Angled Mouthpiece which offers the most effective method of respiratory drug delivery when using a nebuliser.
The year pack also contains a pack of 4 inlet filters. These should be changed every 3 months to ensure the unit continues to perform efficiently.
Why replace the filter?
Replacing the filter on your Philips nebuliser is probably most important aspect of nebuliser maintenance. It is as important as replacing your nebuliser set, since without a good flow of filtered air coming from the compressor, you will not receive an effective therapy.
Old filters block the air flow to the compressor, reducing its output which diminishes its effectiveness.
Blocked filters also put a strain on the motor and increases the risk of a breakdown.
Filters cannot be cleaned – Throw the old filter away – don't wash it!
