Should you need to nebulise an antibiotic, the Sprint system can be used with either a face mask or a mouthpiece simply by adding the Pari Filter Valve Set.

Pari nebulisers do not require an annual service.

What is PIF Control?

The Pari LC Sprint nebuliser is fitted with the PIF-Control System (PIF = Peak Inspiratory Flow). PIF helps to control the inhalation of your medication. With a steady, relaxed breath in, more medication is delivered to the right place in the lungs.

If you breathe in too quickly, you will notice a gentle resistance – this is a sign for you to relax your breathing a little and not to breathe in so sharply. If you don’t feel any resistance, you are inhaling correctly and can be confident in knowing that your medication is getting to your lower airways.

Nebulising with a tracheostomy or laryngectomy?

The Pari Classic with Pari LC Sprint chamber is suitable for use with a tracheostomy or a laryngectomy and is compatible with the optional Pari Tracheo Set.

If you are unsure whether the tracheo set is suitable for you then please contact us for advice.

Spares & Accessories

The Pari Boy Classic uses the Pari LC Sprint nebuliser chamber with mouthpiece which will need to be replaced every twelve months to ensure the nebuliser continues to perform efficiently.

The Pari Air Tube and Face Mask should be replaced every 12 months.

For nebulising antibiotics, the Pari Filter Valve Set attaches below the mouthpiece on the Pari LC Sprint Chamber. The filter pad minimises exhaled aerosol being released into the room, protecting your family from breathing in your prescribed solutions. Replacement Filter Pads are available in boxes of 30 or 100.

The Air Inlet Filter on the compressor will need to be changed every 6 months.

Why replace the filter?

Replacing the filter on your Pari nebuliser is probably most important aspect of nebuliser maintenance. It is as important as replacing your nebuliser set, since without a good flow of filtered air coming from the compressor, you will not receive an effective therapy.

Old filters block the air flow to the compressor, reducing its output which diminishes its effectiveness.

Blocked filters also put a strain on the motor and increases the risk of a breakdown.

Filters cannot be cleaned – throw the old filter away – don't wash it!

Your Pari nebuliser inlet filter should be changed every six months or when discolouration occurs in order to keep your nebuliser performing consistently.
