The Philips InnoSpire Deluxe nebuliser is a high quality, easy to use, powerful mains compressor offering reliable therapy at home or in hospital. The new, more powerful motor provides you with faster treatment times and is continuously rated which means you have no fear of the unit overheating. This smooth running compressor is a big improvement on the older type of nebuliser which some people say sounded like a tractor!
The wipe clean, contoured case is more compact and lighter than its predecessor yet still has an internal compartment which comfortably holds all your accessories.
The lid now folds flat so there is less chance of it being damaged, while another clever feature is the parking post that the chamber stands in when not being used which greatly reduces drug spillage.
The on/off rocker switch is much more manageable for anyone with dexterity problems, such as arthritis, and the mains cable is permanently wired in, making it safer to use and it cannot be misplaced.
Philips nebulisers do not require an annual service.
The popular SideStream chamber is designed to draw in more air, giving you a faster drug delivery and shorter treatment time. 76% of its output is smaller than 3 microns which enables more of the prescribed solution to reach your lower airways, delivering a high performance therapy through a facemask or mouthpiece when nebulising bronchodilators and saline.
The SideStream Plus chamber, with mouthpiece, is designed for the delivery of inhaled steroids and antibiotics (such as Colomycin) as well as bronchodilators. The low-resistance, one-way valve responds to your breathing pattern ensuring you get more drug on inspiration and less waste on expiration. The SideStream Plus is supplied complete with either a vent hose to hook out of a window or a filter holder and filter pads, both of which minimise aerosol being released into the room, protecting other members of the family from breathing in your prescribed solutions. This is particularly important when you are nebulising antibiotics or steroids.

The InnoSpire Deluxe is supplied with durable SideStream or SideStream Plus chamber, both of which can be sterilised by boiling giving a consistent performance for at least a year.

Whether you're using the Durable SideStream Chamber or the SideStream Plus Chamber it will need to be replaced every twelve months to ensure the nebuliser continues to perform efficiently.
The Duratube air tube should be replaced every 12 months.
It is recommended for hygiene that the Adult face mask or the Child face mask be changed every 3 months.
The Durable angled mouthpiece should be replaced every 12 months.
The Air Inlet Filters will need to be changed every three months.
Why replace the filter?
Replacing the filter on your Philips nebuliser is probably most important aspect of nebuliser maintenance. It is as important as replacing your nebuliser set, since without a good flow of filtered air coming from the compressor, you will not receive an effective therapy.
Old filters block the air flow to the compressor, reducing its output which diminishes its effectiveness.
Blocked filters also put a strain on the motor and increases the risk of a breakdown.
Filters cannot be cleaned – Throw the old filter away – don't wash it!
Your InnoSpire nebuliser inlet filter should be changed every three months or when discolouration occurs in order to keep your nebuliser performing consistently.
