The Omron C105 durable mains operated compressor is a good, cost effective choice for the home as it is suitable for use with a wide range of prescribed solutions and offers everything necessary for efficient drug delivery.
The C105, when coupled with the new AVT (Advanced Valve Technology) nebuliser chamber provided, produces a very small particle size with minimal prescribed solution residue. It maximises the amount of medication during inhalation and reduces medication loss during exhalation by synchronizing the flow, meaning more aerosol is available for you to inhale.
This compact, smooth running unit has a water resistant case which is easy to wipe clean, and packs neatly away into its handy carry bag when not in use.
Omron nebulisers do not require an annual service.
The medication that is pumped up through the medication channel is mixed with compressed air which is generated by the compressor. The compressed air mixed with the medication is turned into fine particles and sprayed when in contact with the baffle in the centre of the chamber.
The chamber is equipped with a breath-enhanced valve system which allows the maximum amount of medication to be inhaled by the patient. It optimizes the flow of medication during inhalation and reduces medication loss during exhalation. By synchronizing the flow of aerosol with the breathing, the therapeutic effect of the inhaled medication is optimized.
Note: Only using the mouthpiece enables the synchronized functioning of the nebulizer!
The Omron C105 Nebuliser Accessory Kit will need to be replaced every six months to ensure the nebuliser continues to perform efficiently. It is supplied complete with a A.V.T. nebuliser chamber, air tube, mouthpiece set, adult mask and a pack of 5 air filters.
The Omron C105 Filters will need to be changed every 6 - 8 weeks or when discolouration occurs to keep your nebuliser performing consistently.
Why replace the filter?
Replacing the filter on your Omron nebuliser is probably most important aspect of nebuliser maintenance. It is as important as replacing your nebuliser set, since without a good flow of filtered air coming from the compressor, you will not receive an effective therapy.
Old filters block the air flow to the compressor, reducing its output which diminishes its effectiveness.
Blocked filters also put a strain on the motor and increases the risk of a breakdown.
Filters cannot be cleaned – Throw the old filter away – don't wash it!
