The latest mains operated compressor from Omron is the C102 Total which was developed in conjunction with respiratory therapists.
An efficient and cost effective choice for the home as it is suitable for a wide range of prescribed solutions for respiratory disorders, and offers the additional benefit of a nasal shower for the relief of blocked nose and sinusitis.
The compact design of the C102 makes it ideal for where space is tight, sitting comfortably by your chair or on your bedside table. Its simple design makes it easy to wipe clean, and weighing only 1.2kg means it can be effortlessly moved from room to room.
Omron nebulisers do not require an annual service.
When used as a nebuliser, the C102 can be relied upon to be efficient and effective for inhaling medication for respiratory disorders. The nebuliser chamber produces a small particle size which ensures your medication is deposited deep inside the lungs and with minimal solution residue. Another clever feature is the parking post on the compressor which the nebuliser kit stands in, making it easier to fill.
The face mask is manufactured from medical grade, latex free plastic and comfortably fits over your nose and mouth. The mouthpiece is also latex free.
When attached to the compressor, the solution that is pumped through the nasal shower is turned into fine particles, rinsing the nasal cavity and keeping it clean. This helps to improve breathing by reducing congestion, dryness and irritation. It can also help to reduce allergic responses by rinsing allergens.
With the changing seasons you can suffer from different respiratory problems throughout the year. In spring and summer, hay fever and allergies are common, causing a blocked nose and sneezing. Autumn and winter are the seasons for coughs, colds and runny noses. The Omron C102 Total can help you to breathe easier all year round.
The Omron C102 Total is suitable for use with a tracheostomy or a laryngectomy and is compatible with our tracheostomy mask. Please contact us at the time of order and we will be happy to include a tracheostomy mask free of charge with your nebuliser*. For more information please check out our blog post here: Nebulising with a tracheostomy or laryngectomy.
The Omron C102 Neb Kit will need to be replaced every twelve months to ensure the nebuliser continues to perform efficiently. It is supplied complete with a nebuliser chamber, air tube, mouthpiece, adult and child masks, mask adaptor and air filter.
The C102 Air Inlet Filters will need to be changed every 6 - 8 weeks or when discolouration occurs to keep your nebuliser performing consistently.
Why replace the filter?
Replacing the filter on your Omron nebuliser is probably most important aspect of nebuliser maintenance. It is as important as replacing your nebuliser set, since without a good flow of filtered air coming from the compressor, you will not receive an effective therapy.
Old filters block the air flow to the compressor, reducing its output which diminishes its effectiveness.
Blocked filters also put a strain on the motor and increases the risk of a breakdown.
Filters cannot be cleaned – Throw the old filter away – don't wash it!
