The popular Porta Neb is a high quality, easy to use mains powered compressor offering reliable therapy at home or in hospital. The new motor is continuously rated, which means you have no fear of the unit overheating, and the improved design reduces the noise of the compressor, a big improvement on the old fashioned type that sounded like a tank.
The wipe clean contoured case has a large internal compartment which comfortably holds all your accessories, mains lead and medication. Another clever feature is the parking post that the chamber stands in when not being used which greatly reduces drug spillage.
The durable Ventstream chamber with mouthpiece is designed for the delivery of inhaled steroids such as Pulmicort, or antibiotics such as Colomycin as well as bronchodilators. It produces a fast and accurate drug delivery with 80% of the output smaller than 5 microns enabling more of the medication to reach your lower airways, but the real benefit of the Ventstream is that it responds to your breathing pattern meaning you get more drug on inspiration and waste less on expiration. It can be sterilised by boiling and gives a consistent performance for at least a year.
