RC Cornet

The RC Cornet is a physiotherapeutic aid for people with increased sputum or mucus production and has shown clinical success in patients with COPD, emphysema, bronchiectasis and cystic fibrosis.

Positive pressure fluctuations which are regulated by adjusting the mouthpiece create vibrations that extend the airways and loosen the mucus. By converting the entire exhaled air volume into pressure and flow variations, the RC Cornet eases secretion removal and reduces unproductive cough. Other benefits are increased gaseous exchange, improved vital capacity and reduced airway resistance.

An additional benefit of the RC Cornet is that it can be used in any position, lying, sitting or standing.

The RC Cornet must not be used in the event of a pneumothorax. It should only be applied with the advice of a doctor in the case of serious cardiovascular disease.
